Lessons From a Litter of Puppies

We are living through a time that seems determined to test people in ways previous generations would recognize immediately, with uncertainty replacing stability, noise replacing wisdom, and a pace of life so relentless that many have forgotten what it feels like to sit quietly long enough to hear their own thoughts, much less recognize the gentle reminders God places before us every day.

The weight of it all can feel exhausting. Endless headlines, constant distractions, growing division, and the unsettling realization that many of the institutions people trusted without question no longer seem as steady as they once appeared have left countless families searching for something solid beneath their feet.

Yet God has a way of reminding us that truth, beauty, and goodness have not disappeared simply because the world has become louder.

God rarely shouts above the noise of the world. More often His reminders appear in the quiet places where beauty still lives, carried in the first light spilling across a pasture, the warmth of family gathered together under one roof, or the steady companionship of a dog whose loyalty reflects something far deeper than instinct alone.

Watching a litter of puppies grow has always felt like witnessing a small piece of God’s design unfolding exactly as it was intended, with curiosity replacing fear, trust developing naturally through relationship, and joy emerging from the simplest moments without any need for performance, pretense, or complexity.

Freed from the constant preoccupation with tomorrow, untouched by the endless noise competing for attention, and unconcerned with the status games that consume so much of modern life, a puppy moves through the world with a trust and contentment that quietly reminds us how far we have drifted from the simplicity God intended.

Life is approached with wonder, gratitude, trust, and a wholehearted embrace of the moment placed before them, which may be one of the reasons dogs have such a remarkable ability to restore perspective when people need it most.

Out here in Tennessee, surrounded by fresh air, sunshine, open space, attentive mothers, and the steady rhythms of everyday life, I am reminded regularly that God’s creation still works remarkably well when we have the wisdom to stop fighting it and the humility to learn from it.

Every puppy born here represents far more than a pedigree or a carefully planned breeding. Years of study, generations of thoughtful stewardship, health testing, intentional care, countless prayers, and a deep commitment to preserving this wonderful breed come together with the hope that one day these puppies will become faithful companions for families who value the same things we do.

History reminds us that difficult seasons never last forever. Storms eventually pass, uncertainty eventually settles, and clarity often emerges after periods that seemed impossible while we were living through them. Faith requires moving forward before every answer is visible, trusting that God remains present even when the path ahead feels unclear.

The world may feel unsettled right now, but beautiful things are still being built, faithful families are still being formed, and wonderful dogs are still bringing laughter, companionship, and comfort into homes across the country.

Applications are currently being accepted for our black miniature poodle boys from fully health-tested champion parents with wonderful temperaments.

God is still writing beautiful stories.

Sometimes one of those stories arrives on four paws.
